These are a few photos from The Basic School. In the first photo, I just got out of the gas chamber. The next picture was a little chow time in the middle of a field exercise. I attended TBS from June to December 2000. I stayed over a few weeks more and attended the new Marine Martial Art Instructor Training program until it was time to go to Artillery School in Fort Sill Oklahoma. I was at Fort Sill from January to June 2001. Then I checked in to 1st Battalion 10th Marines a few days before July 4th 2001. The battalion was preparing to go to California two weeks later for desert training (CAX).
These are currently a combination of my thoughts, opinions and creations. I do use some outside resources to help recall certain events. GySgt Brigg's records and documents are an important source of information that I'm using to recall most of the details about Operation Iraqi Freedom. I take responsibility for any inaccurate information that I share. In the end, these are my opinions and if any of you can recall this stuff better than I can, feel free to comment. Semper Fidelis.
